Coastal Style Living Rooms

Fresh cool blues, natural ash wood tones and an overall sense of tranquility. Here are a few of my favourite coastal themed living rooms I discovered recently. I adore the colour scheme in this living room. Natural, almost grey tones of wood, with pale blues, white and a little bit of beige in the cushions which is almost bordering on dusky pink. This would definitely be a choice for the living room in my house (photo source).

White walls teamed together with pale blue/grey sofas, natural wood furniture and cream carpets. This living room is luxurious while still being quietly casual. It is simple and elegant and very much a room to relax in (photo source).

This room has white painted boards on the walls which give a strong coastal feel. Teamed together with driftwood accessories, the willow basket under the coffee table and seagrass carpet, the look is one of a high end beach hut (photo source).

This is just lovely! The pale blue wood panel effect wallpaper looks amazing together with the white furniture and coastal accessories. It’s so light and refreshing. Five minutes in this room and you will feel like you are in a house situated on a beach, even if you are in the middle of a town (photo source).

If you are more into a completely neutral colour scheme, check out this beautiful harbour-side cottage in Mousehole, Cornwall. Every room screams out coastal style and there are no splashes of colour in the house at all. The house is owned by photographer Paul Massey and was also designed by him.
